First Period – Japanese 3—room 110
Instructions for students:
“You have two assignments.
“One is to write, in Japanese, a description of one of the visiting KJ students that you met, telling his or her name, age, personality, activities, clothing, remarks (things you heard this person say. Use present tense plain forms of verbs when describing this person.
“The other is to write 5-line cinquaine poem in Japanese about spring. Use the following format:
Line 1 – Subject
Line 2 – two adverbs
Line 3 – 3 adjectives (don’t forget rules for combining them)
Line 4 – a phrase with a verb in it
Line 5 – restatement of subject, in other words
“Hand in these assignments to the teacher before leaving class today.”

Instructions for students: “Be sure you have your Nakama textbook. Go to page 210 and 211 of the text and do activities B and C, working in pairs. Japanese 4 people should be paired with AP people. Pairs should write out verbally the remarks they develop together, for both B and C, and should hand the work in at the end of the class.”
