Independent Study Japanese

Two students were visiting colleges, so remaining student answered questions from question page at end of Chapter 7. Then teacher and student looked at student’s writing on strictness of parents, with corrections and suggestions.


Japanese 1

Dictation Exercise, with the following sentences to be taken down first in ROMAji, then in hiragana and kanji.
This exercise helped students practice listening comprehension and writing. Afterwards they exchanged papers to read each other’s answers and check for errors.
Correct sentences were projected on board through laptop notebook.

1. make sure you have done both pages 110 and 111 in the workbook
2. write 5 questions appropriate for a test on chapter 7, with 5 possible multiple choice answers for each


Homework: people will be ready to talk about one of their own family members and about a family member from one of the posters they translated.

What can you deduce about the formation of plain past negative verbs? Write another contrasting sentence about Hello Kitty and Bad Bad Maru?

The first three MUST use a negative verb

Dictation sentence:

Some things you can think about re-reviewing:

1. counters
2. amounts of money (hundreds, thousands, ten-thousands)
3. “please give me”
4. names of stores
5. in other words, all the elements of the memorized dialogues they wrote and performed last week and the conversations we had today
