Day-of-week subjects are adjective (‘Monday’s child is full of grace” is inspiration for this.

With a partner, design your own menu on a full-sized separate piece of paper. What do you like? What do you dislike? Your restaurant serves only foods you like. You’ll have (at least 3) categories, like food　たべもの, drinks　のみもの, dessertsデザート, etc., with at least 5 choices within each category. Give your restaurant a Japanese name and make your menu beautiful. Don’t forget prices in 円（えん）or ¥ (this is the international symbol). Plan for an exchange rate of 100 ¥ = $1 U.S.

1。 さる は 木 の うえ に います。
The monkey is (exists) up in the tree.
木 の うえ に さる が います。
There is a monkey up in the tree.

2。 さかな は お水 の した に います。
The fish are (exist) down in the water.
お水 の した に さかな が います
There are fish down in the water.

3。 くま は さる の みぎ に います。
The bear is (exists) to the right of the monkey.
さる の みぎ に くま が います。
There is a bear to the right of the monkey.

4。 かめ は くま の うしろ に います。
The turtle is (exists) behind the bear.
くま の うしろ に かめ が います。
There is (exists) a turtle behind the bear.

5。 せいと は がっこう の まえ に います。
The students are (exist) in front of the school.
がっこう の まえ に せいと が います。
There are students in front of the school.

6。 せんせい は かば の ひだり に います。
The teacher is (exists) to the left of the hippo.
かば の ひだり に せんせい が います。
There is a teacher to the left of the hippo.


Nouns of position (stroke order for となり 隣 and そば側 )

Make up own sentences for positions of animals in location of your choice. We may use “circus,” particularly, in the future.
