Only student present, Rachel Schachtman, used the handout of Doraemon comic to work during this class．She wrote the content of the English dialogue balloons in Japanese。

Also viewed on Internet, Algorithm March and shared information about Japanese music sites related to Shugo Chara, Buono!, Rottara Rottara, Gachinko de Ikou, etc.

Cheng, Harrington, and Yu had to go take an AP exam. Before they left, they received handouts about "exceptions" in Japanese

例外 【れいがい】 Exceptions, in no particular order:

1. irregular adjective-- いい です、よくない です、よかった です、 よくなかった です

2. irregular verbs
a. group 3 verbs--- します、する、しない、 出来る 【できる】
来ます【きます】、来る【くる_、来ない【こない】、来られます
b. irregular te form for 行く、行って
c. irregular potential forms for 見る、見えます、
聞く、聞こえます

3. unexpected uses of relational particles
a. person に 会う 【あう】、会います (instead of を) to meet/see a person

b. bath/room/pool に 入る、入ります (instead of を) to enter a bath/room/pool
c. みち、こうえん を 行く、あるく (instead of ni, because it's not a destination)
To go down the steet, to walk through the park, etc.
d. しごと に 出る, to leave for work: 家 を 出る to leave the house
4. 何人 なん にん "how many people" versus なにじん "what nationality of people"

5。 difficult counters
a. days of the month b. people c. "indigenous" numbers
d. ordinal suffixes: 番【ばん】、目【め】
6. assymetrical あいさつ: 行って 来ます、 行って らっしゃい

Write １３・１４ Superlative-questions for a　Game Show/Quiz Program in class tomorrow。Content of questions should enable fellow students to guess the answer.
