Kanji compound example –人口
えい語 で いみ は Population という こと です。
かんじ は 「ひと」 の じん と くち の 「こう」 です。
JAPANESE 1 – Fifth period
Writing hiragana in new shaped formats:
はね Jump
らせん Spiral
ひので Sunrise and ひぐれ Sunset (semi-circular)
まっすぐ Straignt (ahead)
なみ Waves
かくすい Pyramid
Also, しらとり、Animal Shiritori on paper。
Squirrel, Whale, Cow, Ostrich, Camel, Deer, Skunk, Crab, Horse, and Chicken are animals called for.

JAPANESE 2 -- Sixth period

Today we practiced certain kanji and saw stroke order by overhead projection:
上、下、半、時、万、千、百、曜(Students must be able to recognize and read this last kanji, but do not yet have to write it.)
Practice writing Katakana by vowel categories rather than by consonant rows – new shaped-format. FINISH FOR HOMEWORK.
