Eight Period Day
JAPANESE 3
Students should read and summarize/outline/make a concept map of page 38 in text and hand that in.
Then they should study vocabulary on page 41 of chapter . Please tell them that soon there will be a vocabulary test. They should pay particular attention to the list of “Places” and write each of these words in an appropriate and unique sentence to hand in at the end of class.
Please make sure they hand in assignment with first and last names in upper right hand corner of page.
JAPANESE 1
a. Students should read and summarize/outline/make a concept map of page 336-37 in text and hand that in at the end of the period.
Then they should write each of the adjectives on page 36 in a Japanese sentence, in hiragana, and hand that in to you as well. This work should be written double-spaced, with name, date, and description of assignment in upper RIGHT corner of page. Papers handed in should have NO FRINGES.
b. Please circulate among them to make sure they stay on task as much as possible. This is a large first year class. Please make note of the names of any students who do not do the classwork
JAPANESE 2
Classwork – Students should work on pages 24 (section A), 25 (section C ONLY), and page 26 (finish section C and do Section D) in their workbooks (tell them that it’s in the regular section, working from the front. They should work quietly and individually, NOT in pairs or groups. I will check their work Monday. If they finish early they can continue to work getting their weather project posters ready. They are not allowed to work on anything that is not Japanese.
JAPANESE 4/AP
The three handouts for this class are on top of white book case between the windows. A white curtain with characters on it hangs down from that bookcase.
Students should work individually on grammar handout, and then each one should write a summary of the article about Japanese art. The green handout is for their reference.
